He married Ida Florence DeWitte on 23 Jan 1917 in Red Lodge, Carbon County, Montana, USA, daughter of Harry Dewitte and Ronna.

Furneral services were held last Saturday for Peter Jacob vanderloos, 66, who died at Bridger last Thursday. Last rites were held in the Catholic church at Fromberg. Pallbearers were Leo Bratsky, Edward Derudder, James and Barney Rangitsch, George Althoff and John Koch. Burial was in the Bridger Cemetery. Mr Vanderloos was born Feb. 19, 1891 in Rotterdam, Holland. He came to Red Lodge in 1907 and worked in the mines and farmed in this vicinity. He moved to Bridger in 1937. On Jan. 23, 1917. he was married at Red Lodge to Ida Florence Dewitte, who survives. Othere survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Einar Jakkola, Roberts, and Mrs. Bernhart Kero, Billings; a son, Henry Vanderloos, Bridger; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Klessens, Luther, and Mrs. J. Langdaan in Holland; one borhter, William Vanderloos, Red Lodge; and 11 grandchildren.

Two deaths occurred within three days in the Van der Loos family who reside just north of the city. The mother, Francina E. Van der Loos, succumed last Saturday to pneumonia following an attack of the flu. She was 62 years of age and was preceded in death only a few months by her husband. Monday night her son, Adrian Van der Loos, was also gathered in by the grim spectre. Adrian was well known to Red Lodge, having been an active member of the Van der Loos Brothers firm engaged in truck farming and dairying. He was nearly 33 years of age and unmarried. He had been a resident of this community for eight years, having come here almost direct from Holland, his native home. Pauline never immigrated to the United States, choosing to remain in Holland.
