Father was John J. Hughes, And mother was Theofa Jeffries Hughes.
Both were from the Carolinas. There was 14 children in our family,8 boys and 6 girls. Most of us were born and raised in Monessen, PA. The remaining children 4 girls & 3 boys. Parents are deceased, as well as 7 siblings. A sister,Thelma Hughes Bell, died in 1944 or 1945 in some town in New Jersey, and we would like to know the true cause of her death.Most of us were very young at that time and we are curious.
