Mark Phillips Sr and his son Mark Phillips Jr., were arrested in Effingham County, Georgia in 1782 and all property taken. They were arrested on a Bill of Amercement (The definition of Amercement is a sum of money levied as punishment for an offence.) They were thought to be LOYAL TO THE KING. This is found in the Revolutionary Records of Georgia.
