I am researching:
1. James Madison Varner family from Randolph Ct, NC. He served in the War between the States, and we think he died in 1864. He was married to Laura Ann Davis and they had four children. James Madison, Jr was my great grandfather, born in 1864. Regina Frances [Fanny] Russell and they had 9 children.
2. Russell family, Gabriel, Whitson, Fanny also from Randolph Ct, NC
3. Sutton Family, orginially from NJ, moved to NC and received a Land grant. The present days Sutton still live on 350 acres of the orginal grant in La Grange, NC
