I have researched all lines of my family history for the last 27 years. I have my favourite ancestors such as Nathan Cronkshaw, who was Head Master of Kimboulton School in Huntingdon/Cambs and also Vicar at Witham on the Hill in Lincs. Henry Holmes who was born in Derby in 1700 and purchased a gunpowder mill near to the silk mill in Derby where he worked as an Apothecary, his son Richard was also a Vicar. I am reputed to descend from Edward III but have yet to substantiate this link. I love looking into the lives of the Seaton Family, Joseph moved from Rutland to Nottingham in the first quarter of the nineteenth century, it must have been a big change for him, Narrowmarsh, the area that he lived in Nottingham was similar to Whitechapel in London, tightly packed slums. I have ancestry from Lancashire, Gloucestershire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Northamptonshire and London to mention a few.
