We are the Seddon Family. Most of us are scattered throughout Ontario, Canada. We are in search of family members originating from Lancashire, England. My information dates back to John Seddon of 10 High Street, Bedford Lancashire. This would be in the 1800s. He was a Collier Coal miner. Funny to have so much detailed info and no birth or death date. His son, who would be my Great- Grand Father was Ralph Seddon, who was also a Collier coal miner, also from Lancashire, England and who died in 1952. His wife, (my Great Grand Mother), was Mary Partington of Lancashire. Last known address was Canal street. Born 1870, died 1954. My Grand Father is the son of Mary and Ralph Seddon. His name is Wilfred Seddon. He was born in 1909 in County Leigh, Lancashire, England. He came over to Canada some 10 or so years later. He is still alive now in living in Southern Ontario, Canada.
I think it would be great to connect with the decendants of John Seddon that remained in England. Perhaps, exchange pictures and life stories. The physical resemblance among us Seddons here is a strong one; Round faces, peircing blue, grey hazel and green eyes, strong jaw lines and a lot of nice teeth in the Seddon men. We are all a rather average height. No excessive tallness or skininess. Strong builds, lots of artistic hands and an odd sense of humor seems to be a common trait among us.
