Used to have Beers family reunions(1955-1970) at Miller-Sibley Park in Rocky Grove. Billy Beers would "call" everyone to eat with his "train whistle" voice. We also went to the Ferry family reunion in Titusville. Carl McCleery was there, as was Louis McCleery. Carl McCleery wrote a geneology book.
Maud Arlene Ferry married Russell Thomas Beeers on April 15,1946. Arlene's brothers & sisters are: Walter Benjamin, Edna, Thelma Gertrude, & John Gerald. Their parents were Benjamin David Ferry & Gertie Bell (Deeter) Ferry. Gertia Bell Deeter was born April 24, 1886 to Joseph Deeter & Julia. Gertia's siblings: Melvin (died 1924), Annie (married Zane Lepley), Serenous (boy) (married Addie Overmoyer), Addie (married to a Brink/died in 20's), Lydia, John, ______, Ellen, Henry, Edna, Gertia.
Thomas Jefferson Beers & Sylvia Grace McCleery married ________. Their children were Dessie, Leroy Herman (b. June 10,1900), Leah, Jennie, Russell Thomas (b. Nov 4,1914).
Dessie married Ralph Freeman. Their children are: Violet, Eva, Glenn, & Alberta.
Leroy married Francis Pearl Stillings on Oct. 3, 1923. Their child was Gerald Wallace (b. Jan 18, 1925).
Leah married Ormand Wentworth. Their children are: Betty (b. Nov 4, 1925 or 1926/married Miles Rhodes), Irene (married Dana Blair), Guy (Wayne)(divorced, had 2 daughters), Elouise (married Paul Hoover), & Marcella (married Bob Marshall).
Jennie married Chester Crisman. Their children are: Forest (b. Sept 15, 1924/married Mary), Mabel (b. Sept 25, 1926/married Frank Mook), & Herbert (b. Nov 7, 1929).
Russell married Maud Arlene Ferry on April 15, 1946. Their children are: Shirley Ruth (b. July 31, 1947), Carol Anne (b. Jan 24,1949), John LeRoy (b. Dec 26, 1950), Paul Russell (Sept 23, 1952), Mary Shalmir (b. Oct 21, 1955), & Rebecca Ellen (b. May 8,1962).
