Within the past three months, I have found out some things about my family that many did not know. From my father's side of the family, I found out that my greatgrandfather's sister was a movie star back in the 1940's. She was known as "Honey Child Wilder".
I have also learned that another one of my greatgrandfather's sisters was married to the Prince of England, Prince Phillip. She is the common woman that Prince Phillip married that caused him to be removed from the family line. Once they were married, he was no longer alowed to be the next in line for the crown.
I began my research by writing down things that I already knew. Then I went to my father and asked him questions about family members that I did not know. With his help my list grew three times as long. Once he gave me all the information that he knew, I went to the courthouse in Birmingham to gather any more information that I could. So far the research has been slow. I am not able to do much research at a time, because I have a two year old child that tends to get in the way. As I gather more I will fill in.
