I am working on my family tree. I am researching The Selfridges from Northern Ireland and then immigrated to the Hibernia / New Jerusalem area of New Brunswick, Canada. They may of been originally from England.
They then came to America and settled in Medford, Ma. and then to Somerville, Ma. sometime after 1927. My grandfathers name Was George Atley Selfridge and he was married to Gertrude Irene McConchie. They had three children, Walter Garfield, my dad, Kathleen and Earl Bertram.
I will also be researching the genealogy of my grandmother Gertrude Irene McConchie. Her great grandfather was Christopher McConchie. His son John McConchie immigrated to New Brunswick and settled in the Hibernia / New Jerusalem area of New Brunswick, Canada around 1825.
I am very interested in finding information on my family from the Northern Ireland with possible connections in England and Scotland.
Any information anyone may have would be greatly appreciated.
Most people knew my dad as "Gar".
