The Selby family was originally from Manchester England came to Canada and settled in Bowmanville Ontario, which is around New Castle Ontario. They moved west to Indian Head, Saskatchewan in 1909. Grandfather Noah Thomas Selby came out to the Regina area ia little earlier in 1903 to start homsteading in the Regina, area Back in Ontario, they had an apple orchard and strawberries. moving west was a big step, as everything out west was vergin land and still had to be broken up. While the family stayed in Indian Head, Grampa Selby came and worked very hard to start roots for his family. We are now 5 generations after the fist generation to come to Canada. and I am in the process of putting the pieces together by getting birth dates, wedding dates, death dates, ect. to bring it up to the present date. later of course I would still like to probe deeper into the past, and see what I can find.
