This line of the Semple family remained in the Glasgow area until James Semple ( b. 1888) left for Canada in the early 1900's. He brought his wife (Elizabeth Halden), then his brother (Robert Semple) , then his sister Minnie, while his other sister, Annie went to South Africa with her husband Robert Comline.
James parents were Robert (b.1852, Glasgow) and Margaret Ann Moore (b.1861).
Robert Semple was the second son of James Semple (1828) and Annie Sinclair (1830) of Glasgow, and his siblings were: James (b.1851), Margaret (B.1854), Elizabeth Ann (b. 1860), & Mary (b.1862).
James(1828) was the son of Robert Semple(b. 1792) and Margaret Robertson.
Robert (1792) was the son of James Semple(b. 1774) and Mary Scott.
