Karen's Ancestors (the Serafin-Kelly Family Tree)

Updated November 19, 2005

About Our Family Research

Not much research has been done yet. I am still struggling. My parents Margaret Kelly, and Sigmund Serafin met at Fort Benning during WWII. My mother was from a Scots-Irish family long established in the southern states, and my father was the son of Polish immigrants who came to Philadelphia after WWI.
My mother's parents were James Kelly and Ina Clark of Geneva County, Alabama. My father's parents were Michael Serafin of Poland and Antonia Brzysecz of Lvov, Poland.
My mother had an older brother, Jesse James (Jimmy) and a younger sister, Sarah Louise. My father was an only child.
My maternal great-grandmother, Sarah Creel, married Jesse Clark, and had five children; Ina, Myrle, Arthur, Porter and Grant.
My paternal great-grandmother, Elizabetha Skowronska married Axelbertus Brzysrcz and had eight children, none of whom I have met.
