My name is Albert William Setzler, Jr. I am the son of the late Albert W. and Edith R. Setzler. My father was the son of the late Samuel H. and Minnie Setzler.
Until recently, I mistakenly thought that there were very few Setzlers left in the U.S.A.--not to mention the world population! Having discovered the world of computing, I did some web searching and discovered--to my surprise-- that there are over 200 Setzlers listed in the web white pages encompassing the entire U.S.A., including Hawaii. Now that in no way nears the number of Smiths, Jones, Millers, etc., in the populace; but that number of Setzlers is far greater than I ever thought existed!
My father did a great deal of research into our branch of the Setzler family--which according to the information he had acquired (without the use of a computer)--stemmed back to Philip Setzler, born on June 9,1763, died October 3,1828, and is reportedly buried in Spring City, Pa. I have no information about his ancestry or whether or not he had any brothers or sisters.
I am hoping that through this web page, I might acquire some further information about Philip Setzler and other members of this Setzler family. If there are any other Setzlers that are descendants of this particular Philip, I would like to hear from you and would appreciate any additional information that you can give to me. Thank you!
