My research goes back to my Gt-Gt-Gt grandfather Peter Settle who was born in Water Lane,Radcliffe,near Bury,Lancashire on 23 June 1793. He was christened at St Mary's Church Radcliffe 27 July 1793. We also know that he died sometime in 1876 aged 82?

His father we think was a Richard Settle who came from Bolton?

Peter's first wife we believe was Elizabeth/Betty ?
and they had 9 children.
Peter's second wife was Alice Sharples and they had 3 children.

What we are anxious to find out is if there is anyone who has any connections and done any research on this part of the Settle family. We would also appreciate it if they can shed any light on the details of my family forefathers that we are missing.
