I have been interested in my heritage since the early 1970's when I was in high school. My maiden name is Cram and I was born in Milwaukee Wisconson. My parents were Charles Ervin and Mary Ellen (nee Short) Cram. My maternal grandparents were Charles Zeug (background unknown) and Helen Friedmann Zeug who was born in Canton, Ohio on Feb 6, 1912. My paternal grandparents were Ervin Ervil Cram (he deserted his family when my father was very young and we have no knowledge of his whereabouts) he was originally from the Neilsville, Wisconsin area. My maternal grandmother was Leona Jennie Broient Dresden Cram Daveni. Her father, Joseph Broeint, fought for the North in the Battle of Antieman in the Civil War.
I have a genetic kidney disease, Polycystic kidney disease and my 24 year old son has also been diagnosed with it. I would like to know who we inherited this from.
