Hi! My husband already knows all his family history so I decided I wanted to research mine! My Nana is 87 and I have been pumping her for every bit of information I can find. Especially as my favorite family story is of the Roman Catholic priest who fell in love with his 14 year old art student and he left the priesthood to marry her! I also want to discover my Dad's line as he has already passed away and I have no other older relatives on that side of the family to get info from. I am discovering microfilm, census's and soundex. Today I found my great-great grandmother in the WA census and discovered she was fibbing about her age, good grief, she sure made it hard for me to find her.
I have 4 beautiful children that I want to be able to share their history with, and I thought I had better do it now.
9-13-2000 I have learned lots about genealogy now!! I do not have any genealogy software, and so I can't even put my family tree on here...sorry about that. My beloved Nana passed away on July 9th and I miss her terribly!! My first hand family story teller is now gone and this research seems so much more important to me!
