Notes for John Billington: As yet, not certain if Thomas & Sarah Billington are his parents ie. info taken from search on familysearch.org in Jan 2003 eg. John & Elizabeth are stated as married & both being born in about 1757 in Frodsham. However, on another search, a John Billington is said to have been christened in Frodsham on 27 July 1759. Likewise, from Cheshire BMD, a John Billington aged 84 died at Chester Castle in 1842 ie. pointing to a birth date of approx 1758 (perhaps this John moved to Chester like his possible son George?).
Also, from the Bertram Merrill Marriage index - in 1758 Thomas Billington = Sarah Jackson at Frodsham St.
Also - in 1753 a John Billington (brother of Thomas?) = Margaret Acton at Frodshan St. in 1773 Thomas Billington = Sarah Percival at Frodsham ST.
