I'm searching for several family members whose parents and origins are unknown. They are often wives of my direct ancestors. The only items I have on several of them are birthdates and marriage dates, and the name of the husband, children, his ancestry. In a few cases I have male ancesters who materialized out of thin air with no parents or country of origin. The point is most of my research is in the 1700's and 1800's on names that may be false, erroneous, or completely changed when they entered the country. I also suspect some of the females may have eloped and subsequently been removed from original family records, and may even have used a false name when they married. That kind of thing happened back then.
