If anyone knows anything about the Shpilias, it is that there are very few. I have been looking and looking for the "REAL" family name, but have had no such luck. My father, Peter Alvin Shpilia, son of Alex Shpilia and Sophie Pesta, and also grandson of Pantolejmon Shpilia, married my mother, Kathleen Cecilia Witt April 24, 1964. They had one son August 3, 1964, Peter August Shpilia, and one daughter April 12, 1982, me, Jennifer Marie Shpilia. We live in Richmond and my brother's family lives in Capac, MI. My brother, Peter August Shpilia, married Sherry Hoover from Algonac, MI. THey have had three children, Alan August Shpilia born August 29, 1984, Crystal Lynn Shpilia born May 10, 1986, and Deanna Sue Shpilia born December 1?, 1988.
