I am researching the following families. Sibbett - in Northern Ireland (Portglenone, Co Antrim) McKee - in Portglenone, Co Antrim Gamble - in Co Londonderry, Ireland Gibb - in Co Antrim Allison - in Co Donegal, Ireland Ellison - in Co Donegal, Ireland Malseed - in Co Donegal, Ireland Moir - from Chobham, Surrey, England Rapley - from Surrey, England I am particularly trying to find out about the early life and military career of my grandfather, George Moir who grew up in Chobham, Surrey and then joined the army ending up in the Royal Irish Rifles stationed in Belfast where he met and married Isabella A(E)llison (my grandmother). James Ellison (38 KB) This is my great-grandfather who was born and lived at Clooney, near Ramelton, Co Donegal, Ireland Chobham, Surrey (10 KB) the village where my grandfather, George Moir, lived as a child. St Lawrence Church, Chobham (22 KB) where all the Moir family were baptised Mary Jane Ellison (49 KB) wife of James Ellison, she was my great grandmother and also lived in Clooney, Ramelton, Co Donegal, Ireland George Moir, my grandfather (23 KB) Born in Staines, Middlesex, lived early life in Surrey. I can find no detail from 1871 to 1902 when he married my grandmother in Belfast. Pumpkin, our dearly loved ginger cat (42 KB) Pumpkin, our dearly loved ginger cat,who died 3 July 2001. Very much missed.
