My family begins with a Robert Henry Side born in Mitcham about 1801. His origins have remained obscure despite years of work. My search has led me to investigate the name Side, Sides, Syde and Sydes from all over the UK and latterly worldwide. The amount of data that I am accumulating effectively means that I am working up to a one name study.
