I have recently begun a search to trace the Franklin family further back than 1735 (birth of Thomas Franklin in South Carolina). His son, Thomas Baker Franklin left South Carolina with his family in 1807 and began a 4 year trek across the wilderness of America, finally settling in what is now Bradley County Arkansas. I have access to family history from the time of their settlement in Arkansas to the present time. The research on this line of the Franklin's was gathered by older relatives. I, myself, have been to the old homeplace site and Franklin family cemetary in Bradley county Arkansas. The old family land comprises part of the Bradley county park and is partially on privately owned land. I have access to copies of old family photos which date back to the 1800's.
