I have been working on my family tree since 1962. I have roots in England,Germany, and Scotland. Recent members lived in Potter and Tioga Counties in PA. Many branches predate the American Revolution. Surnames include: Springer, Shaff, Buchanan, Eaton, Peet, Cornelius, VanWegen, Widger, Abbey, West, Holt, Eggleston, Howe, Hamilton, and Reynolds.
My husband's family only came to the United States in the 1800's. Most of them settled in the Pittsburgh, PA area. They originated in Ireland, Germany, and Sweden. Surnames include:
Sippel, Welsh, Swanson/Svensson, Young/Youngren, Anderson, and Johanson.
I have a great deal of information and will be happy to share with others who are solving the mysteries in their own family trees.
