My Sisk Family Information

Updated June 9, 2009

About Our Family Research

My website is dedicated to my family and every Sisk family out there researching their roots. I am dedicated to help anyone find information on the Sisk that I have through this web site.

Please don't forget to use the Mormon Library as a tool. They have the Luther Sisk document there and available to view upon request. Luther Sisk did a lot of Sisk research. And also when looking for Sisk relatives don't forget to visit Virtual Cemetery and Find A Grave websites. Please place any Sisk grave photos on these websites to help others.

Sisk is an Irish name and there is a large concentration of Sisk in the County of Cork in south Ireland. The largest construction company in Ireland is the Sisk Construction Company.

Family Trees (viewing trees requires 4.0 or later browser)
  • Updated tree as of January 2009. 'Bout time (126 KB)
My Sisk family comes from the North Carolina South Carolina border. My grandfather was a loomer in the cotton mills and he often worked in S.C and also N.C where ever needed. My dad said he was a good loomer and sought after from the mills. He had plenty of half brothers which kept the research interesting to find. I hope this helps someone.
Family Photos
  • Sisk Boys (67 KB)
These are my uncles and the picture was probably taken around 1917. I think this is adorable because they remind me of the Little Rascals in this photo. L-R JC Hampton, Fred Agle, Troy "Bill" Wiley, Gordon Levance and in front is probably Samuel Edward. His name wasn't on the photo but I think it is safe to say it's him
  • Sisk Family Crest (683 KB)
This is a copy of the Sisk Crest that I bought in Dublin, Ireland.
  • Will and Rosa Burchfield and family (46 KB)
This is the only picture of the Burchfield's that I have. This isn't all of their children either. Will Burchfield and my grandfather John Kingston Sisk had the same mother Sally Miller from Tenn. This is one of my favorite family photos.
