I am researching The Sivalia/Chevalier Lines. Joseph Chevalier about 1816-1865. My 2nd Great Grandfather, born in Canada. Wifes name is Caroline, born in Vermont. Lived in the Township of Lysander,NY. From about 1849.They had about 11 children.John and Permilia were listed as born in St. Lawerence Co. NY. Moses and Catherine born in Canada. Joseph, Caroline, Paul, were born in Onondoga Co. NY. This info. came from the 1855 NY State census. Name spelled as Servalla. My great Grandfather was Egbert. Married Lina Christman. Last name also spelled as Sevalia in 1892 Federal census. Would like to here from anyone that has info. on this family.
Also researching Thomas Sampson/Samson lines. Married Charlotte R. Tryon about 1833. Children Levi Monroe, Richard S., Edward F., Silas A., Caroline, and Jesse. They lived in the Township of Richland until about 1855 then moved to Martville, NY. Town of Sterling. Charlotte is the Daughter Of Levi and Mary Hannah Bartholomew Tryon. Am trying to find Thomas's parents? Any info on these lines would be appreceiated.
