I have just started the first steps in researching my family tree. I interviewed my family to get as much information for my research as possible. I was able to retrieve copies of the applications for Social Security as far back as my great grandparents on my father's side, and my great great grandparents on my mothers side. Along with this information, I have also retrieved copies of my parent's marriage certificate and divorce dicree.
