I'm currently researching my family the SKEATES of Swindon, Wilts in England. I have so far found the records of my grand mothers family, the BRAYS and GOODWINS, including the birth and marriage certificates. I am have some problems finding information on my great grandfathers birth of 1859 and also the marriage of my great, great, grandmother Charlotte Hughes born 1837 in Corsley, Wilts, England, and William Goodwin. They were either married in Corsley or Bath, somerset, they had a daughter who was born in Bath in 1874. I am also trying to locate the Skeates family name in Swindon from the early 1800's to the present day, I know my grand father was born in Swindon, Wilts in 1898. I have a couple of researchers doing the work for me.
I have recently been in touch with some one in Canada, and have located the SKEATES and MEADER family living in Swindon on the 1891 Census. I am waiting for certificates to confirm. I have also located the same MEADER family in Dorset on the 1881 Census.
