Bonnie Horrigan Slade - Horrigan of Irish Descent Updated January 13, 2001
About Our Family Research
The Horrigan Family descends from the marriage of Cornelius Patrick Horrigan and Elizabeth A. Kraus of Ohio. Cornelius is son of Michael Horrigan and Julia Ryan, both of Irish birth in County Cork, Ireland. The present day family descends from the daughters of John (Clarence) Horrigan, son of Cornelius, and Rosalind Josephson. Patricia E. Horrigan Metten and Bonnie Lee Horrigan Slade organize several annual gatherings of this family line which include a Christmas celebration held in Provo, Utah; Oktoberfest weekend held the last weekend in October in Logan, Utah; and participation in the St. Patrick's Day Parade held in Salt Lake City, Utah. The family is pursuing research on the origins of this Horrigan line from County Cork, Ireland, and needs help in establishing a township or place of origin since records in this area are vague.
