I am researching the family of Henry (aka Harry) Wright and Eleanor (aka Ellen) Todd who came from County Durham, England about 1870 to settle and live the remainder of their lives on Oak Hill in Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania.

Henry Wright was my 2nd great-grandfather. Born May 3, 1843, in Newgate, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, England, he was a son of George H. Wright and Mary Hansell, and one of 13 (possibly 14) children.

Henry's father, George H. Wright, was born August 8, 1817, in Barnard Castle, County Durham, England. He was a son of Henry Wright and Eleanor Plumpton.
