The Newman's of Edington, Wiltshire - 1700-1850

Updated July 7, 2001

About Our Family Research

I am researching the Newman family (Newman being my maiden name) and I am looking for any ancestors of mine that may have travelled outside the UK, possibly Canada. The information I have on my tree, so far, constitutes approximately 9 generations
as far back as 1702, starting with the marriage of Solomon Newman to Jane May at Erlestoke, nr Edington, Westbury, England.
I would also be delighted to hear from anyone who may have information about the family, and their move to Pewsey, Wilts.
England, and later to Bath, Somerset, England, sometime about
1850.
