Researching the Curry family has certainly been an adventure. Thanks to Sallie Elnora, I was able to hit the ground running. I have located many of our family members in the census records, on state websites such as South Carolina and through researching death records finding death certificates. In finding Louis's death certificate, I noted that his father's name was Daniel and his mothers name was Sara. I have also located Louis in the 1860 South Carolina Slave Schedules. I am waiting for a copy of the details to come in from SC. This will hopefully tell me who his owners were and allow me trace back to determine our true home. I am using the software FamilyTree Maker to log all of the information. Soon I hope to be able to share it. I will keep you posted on my progress.
