* The Ubiquitous Smiths*

Updated September 6, 2000

My family has been in this country only about 4 generations
as well as my wifes family. Even though Smith is only one of
the names I'm researching, the others are almost as common...
( Daye, Baker, Ehmer,Hoose, Hart ) Needless to say I have hit a brick wall with all these names at about the 1850's.
The local is central NY, Germany, arrival at Ellis Island
and E. Penn.
Any lead will be appreciated.....Thank you, Don Smith
