William Collyer was born on 20 August 1673 at Horsell, Surrey. He was the son of John Collyer and Ann Symmons. He was christened on 30 September 1673 at Horsell, Surrey. He married Ann (?) circa 1693. He lived on 7 June 1738 at Newhouse, Horsell, Surrey, and he was a Yeoman.4 He died before 16 January 1739. He was buried on 16 January 1739 at Horsell, Surrey.
He left a will which was proved on 6 March 1738/39 and the full Will reads:

'William Collyer of Newhouse, Horsell, yeoman 7 Jun 1738 to my wife Ann Collyer, to my kinsman William Collyer of Knaphill, Horsell, yeoman and John Collyer son of my brother Henry Collyer, deceased all my messuage Newhouse to raise £100 on mortgage to pay to my son in law Richard Edmeads who I owe same and to pay to my wife Ann for life out of rents £10 p.a. but if she remarries only £6 p.a; rest of rents to maintain granddaughter Ann Edmead daughter of my late daughter Ann until 21 and then residue to her with remainder to my son in law Richard Edmeads for life and then to my brother Richard Collyer of Hill Place, Horsell paying £50 to my sister Elizabeth Scotcher wife of James Scotcher, £50 to each of children of late brother John Collyer between them; £50 to children of late brother Henry Collyer and to Ann Wapshot wife of Henry Wapshot daughter of my late sister Ann Field wife of James Field £50; to my wife all my household goods up to £10; residue to my wife, William Collyer and John Collyer, execs. in trust until granddaughter is 21 and then to her
Witnesses: John Buckenham; John Lagg; Arthur Wight
Proved: 6 Mar 1738/9 to exec.
