During the war, She served with the WVS giving out tea, buscuits and cigerattes to the troop trains at Bostan railway station India

Was shot at three times, during the division of india, the refugees comming into india, had nowhere to live and as a result set up camp, on the midan (wasteground) and they fired at her, to gain access to the vegtable garden and the fruit trees as they were staving.
But gran and grandad used to leave the fruit outside for them to help themsselves
