I am Erin Smylie (b. 1976, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario).

The Smylie's that I belong to came for Glawsgow-Lanarkshire area of Scotland and immigrated to Ulster prior to 1790.
Joseph Smylie b. 1760 settled in Bangor before moving to Annahilt (for parish records in Annihilt 1790).

Joseph Smylie m. Mary McKee. They had the following Children:

I have a lot of Data, from The Smileys of Annahilt vol 2.
by Lorne C. Elder 1993. He has since died. It traces this Smylie family migration through Canada, the USA and Australia.
It also gives data on other Smylie families in the Ballynahinch, Belfast and Northern Ireland around the mid 1700's
