I have just recently started researching my family tree and although my progress is slow, I have found some interesting things in my family history. At the moment I am concentrating on the Laynes, as that is my maiden name. The Laynes, Browns, Lunsfords, Follises, and Meadows come from near and far, scattered throughout the United States, although I've proven that the Laynes in my family are primarily from Tennessee, Texas, California and Oklahoma, with a few from the East Coast. I am enjoying this research, although at times it is frustrating, as I'm sure it is for anyone doing geneological research. I find I have to take periodical breaks to save my sanity (and my eyesight!). I hope to have this finished in a few years, but at the rate it's going, it may take decades! :)
