BURDICK & SNETHEN of Kansas, Missouri, & Iowa Geneology

Updated May 15, 2004

About Our Family Research

I am looking for any information you might have regarding BURDICK or SNETHEN family history.

BURDICK line: CHARLES W. BURDICK & his 3 sons EARL, EDDIE, & FRANK. I believe CHARLES was married to an IDA. EDDIE & FRANK moved to Kansas from Iowa. FRANK (my great grandfather) moved to Burlington Kansas & married MYRTLE ESTER GARRETT and had one son FRANCIS GERALD RAY. FRANK went to France in WWI and was stabbed in the lung at a social gathering before coming home.
EDDIE BURDICK is believed to have died in a train accident in Kansas but I don't know much more. CHARLES is believed to be either a policeman or worked for the railroad. FRANK's grandmother was CATHERINE LINK of Burlington Kansas and his guardian after parents passed on was his uncle J J MEYERS.

SNETHEN line: FRANK TIMOTHY SNETHEN & sons FRANK & GLEN BLAIR & daughter MADOLINE. Son FRANK was sent to Leavenworth Prison for stabbing and killing a man. Was released I believe sometime in the mid to late 1950's. GLEN (my grandfather) married VIRGINIA MARIE VANCLEAVE and had 4 sons GLEN FRANKLIN, DAN, JOSEPH CLINTON, & PATRICK TIMOTHY (my dad) & daughter MARCELINE MAXINE. MADOLINE (we called her AUNT BABE)married CLINTON KELLEY and lived in ST.JOSEPH MO. My grandparents lived in KANSAS.

I am looking for any information you might have for me.
