This website is a work in progress. The information I have is from a variety of sources from the internet research to county libraries and courthouses.
The earliest Bradley I have is Lawrence Bradley born abt.1690.
He is mentioned along with several other Bradley's in Essex and Caroline Co,Va.Another Bradley, Thomas, is mentioned several times in Early Essex County. Some Bradley researchers believe that this Thomas was Lawrence's father.He later appears in Orange County that later becomes Culpepper. The family of Lawrence Bradley had a Plantation before 1744 as he was listed in a motion to clear a road previously laid. It looks as if he sold that plantation to Francis Thorton.
He then resided on a plantation on Old Rag MTN. probably until his death.
Lawrence Bradley was probably the father of at least said children :
1.Kesiah : Married neighbor James Lillard.
2.Lawrence Jr married Winfred Wisdom and moved to NC.
3.Capt. Augustine is listed in fathers will.
4.John married Sarah Lillard and fought in Rev. War. Died in Washington County, Va.
5.Joshua
6.Abraham
From these men, our ancestary flows. We share their bloodlines and possibly some of their charactoristics.
