Hi! I'm Kerry. I have been researching the Torrez Family history for 3 years. I have been able to trace it to 1889, the birth year of my great-grandfather, Augustin Torrez, from Piedras Negras, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He emigrated to Central Texas in 1917, earned a living as a migrant farm worker and married my great-grandmother, Nicolasa Segovia, in 1920. I am also researching the Kone Family history, which I know partly to be on file with the Church of Latter Day Saints Library, in Salt Lake City. That information was researched by my great-grandmother, Effie Mariah Kone. I have information on this side going back to William Albert Kone, born March 23, 1866, son to William Henry Coon and Mary Ann Headlee. If anyone has any information to share on either of these two surnames, it would be most appreciated.
