Sobocinski, the Russian Branch of the Family

Updated January 27, 2003

About Our Family Research

My "official" name is Irina Sabotsinskaia, but my real surname is "Sobocinskaia" the Russian female version of the Polish surname "Sobocinski", which, because of a mispelling of my grandmother, became "Sabotsinski" in my family. I'm Russian, but now I'm living in Spain and I'd love to reconstruct my genealogy tree. I think that this task must be almost impossible without any information about my great great grandfather, who I owe a surname that is very rare in Russia. The only thing I know is that he was Polish and his name was Adolf Sobocinski. He emigrated to Moscow at the end of the 19th century.
I will welcome any information related to my great great grandfather and my family name, and I will be happy to contact any Sobocinski interested in the Russian branch of the family.
