Julianna E. Lehner, 88, died Friday, April 21, 2006, at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

Friends and family may call at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Sunday, April 23, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., where a vigil service will be held at 3 p.m. On Monday, April 24, friends and family may call at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 511 South Spring St., from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church on Monday, beginning at 11 a.m. Rev. Carlos Florez and Rev. Tony Klink will concelebrate. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in the town of Beaver Dam.

The former Julianna E. Westenmayer was born on April 24, 1917, in Beaver Dam, to the late George and Mary (Willand) Westenmayer. She attended St. Peter's Catholic Grade School, graduating from the ninth grade in 1932, and attended high school at Holy Ghost Convent in Techny, Ill. On June 24, 1939, Julianna was united in marriage with Herbert Lehner at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Together they farmed for their entire adult lives just south of Beaver Dam. Julianna was a Gray Lady at Dodge County Hospital and she also worked at Andes Shoe Store and Breuer Metal-Craftsmen. She was a life-long member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, now St. Katharine Drexel Parish, and its Catholic Women's Society.

Survivors include six children, Rose Marie Klavekoske, Beaver Dam; M. Therese (Carlos) Campos, Milwaukee; Celine (Thomas) Brzezinski, Beaver Dam; Herbert Lehner, Jr., Beaver Dam; Virginia (Danny) Behring, Beaver Dam and Bernadette (James) Hafenstein, Beaver Dam; a daughter-in-law, Colleen Lehner, Beaver Dam; 27 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Marge Westenmeyer, Beaver Dam, Doris Westenmeyer, Beaver Dam, Josephine Rake, Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Julianna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herbert Sr. on October 1, 2002; an infant daughter, Therese on February 18, 1943; her son, Guy Lehner on April 14, 2005; two grandchildren, Luis Felipe Campos on March 29, 1975, and Jonathan H. Behring on May 12, 1994; three sisters, Magdalen Hupf, Eva Yagodinski and Mary Schmidt; three brothers, Anton Westenmeyer, Donald Westenmeyer and John Westenmeyer; and one son-in-law, Donald Klavekoske on January 22, 2001.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Julianna E. Lehner's name to St. Katharine Drexel Parish School or Hillside Manor Activity Fund.

The Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is serving the family.
