William Hood 5-18-1750 of Ireland married Jane Wiggins who moved to Kershaw Co. (Camden area) S.C. William Hood served in the revolutionary war under Col. Wm. Thomson his rank was private (any female related to him may prove their bloodline & join the NSDAR).
She bore him a daughter with the name Sarah Hood 6-30-1785. All other children include:

Sarah Hood married John Somerville (12-1780). They moved to Franconia, AL (outside of modern day Aliceville, AL). They had a son named William Hood Somerville (6/20/1812).
