This site has been designed to inform and share our family information and to receive contributions of information in order to piece the families together. I also have a domain [http://www.leedscountyontario.com] which was designed to promote all family names in Leeds County by providing email addresses for researchers; and a county information site that will give readers a look into the times and lives of early days in the County.
My interest in genealogy has evolved for many years with its beginnings in small town Ontario where everyone was related to everyone else. As a child I would be out and about, shopping with my parents; they would stop and chat with someone and later when I asked who they were, I would be given a verbal rundown on how they were related to us! I didn't fully appreciate that concept until many years later.
Since beginning my family research with the Covey Family, I became tunnel visioned on that family alone. Then after hitting a brick wall that I still haven't broken through, I began realizing there were a million stories on the different associated families and so have decided to run my genealogy search county wide and introduce you to some of our kith and kin. I would not be at all surprised, in my never ending saga, to find that we are related to everyone in the county!
