This project started back in 1987 when I received an offer of a book entitled "The Somers Family Album. I knew next to nothing about my father's family beyond my Aunt May. She and my two sisters were the only family I Knew. Later on I found my sisters to be half sisters and discovered a half brotherSo I took out a subscription to Geneology. com and began research which continues to the present day. In the process I have added other families: Moore, Dow, Smallm Arey, Ladd, Rogers, and perhaps Strout
Like other family researchers I began this project housed in one three ring binder. To date I have filled a 4-drawer file cabinet completely and file folders are scattered in piles in my bedroom/office crying for a home
About six months ago my long lost nephew gave me access to his family archives. I must confess that I nodded off when I reached 555 A.D.
I took off for six months to run a population ennumeration of the town of Vienna, Maine in conjunction with the Vienna Historical Society. Now I have returned with a vengance. Have dabbled with the new Ancestry. com search procedures. It has unselfishly coughed up new information known only to God. Just maybe they have made a convert. But not just yet!
