Started my family research in 1996. We had Sorrells family reunions in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida since 1986 after the death of my grandmother, Mary Ella Wallace Sorrells, married to James Franklin "Frank" Sorrells, son of James E. Sorrells. His father is John Sorrell, b. 1811 from Georgia married to Mary Ann "Polly" (surname unknown).
Frank Sorrells and wife, Ella moved from Liberty,Crenshaw County, AL in 1938 to Opp,Covington, AL. Lived there until January 1956, moved to Ft. Walton Beach , FL with sons, Marlin Sorrells, James Wilton Sorrells, James Trenton Sorrells and Talmer Sorrells.
Daughters were Addie Bell Sorrells Burrell, Tince Sorrells Gibson, Mildred Sorrells Prater, Margie Sorrells Hobbs, Jewel Sorrells McIntosh and Irma Ruth Sorrells Peters. Frank and Ella Sorrells had 15 grandchildren.
My oldest known ancestor is John Sorrell(s) b. 1811 married to Mary Ann "Polly" (maiden name unknown). Children were John S., Ezekiel, Margaret, Mary, Mchenry and George W.
