Our family research started when we looked for a Birth Certificate for my Grandfather, Alfred Ashley Wakefield and that found his birth name was Wells, changed to Wakefield when he was about 3 years old. Since then many things have come to light, including my grandfather's sisters family in West Australia. We have also discovered that he had two brothers, Arthur who died a month after birth and another brother, Samuel born in 1879. Samuel we have not found any trace.
