This has been an effort by many members of my family. Some have listened and answered my questions. Others have gone on trips and dug into piles of info online and in Archives. Not everyone came to the genealogy call as eagerly as others, but with gentle prompting (bullwhip) it has grown on all of my family.
My husband's line of Spears has been one of our largest brick walls, a veritable fortress, but recently we scaled it together and found so many Spears that we almost turned and ran!
Not really, we rushed forward excitedly and have enjoyed meeting so many cousins and seeing just how closely through the years we had come to bumping into each other.
Now, we are looking forward to family reunions in the Spring and strolling in the "family" cemeteries of Sandhill in Yardell, AR. Reed in Story, AR. and Parkhill in Talequah, OK.
Along with Spears, we are researching Smith, Magill, Stewart, Tedford, Larkin, McKay, Coney, Bailey, Hughes, Tobey, Beck, Lassetter, Phillips, Aldridge, Robinson, Stone, Richey, Morgan, Swafford and more that I am forgetting or don't know of yet. =)
I want to gather and post pictures on here to share, so we can all see who we came from to go with the where's that we have learned so much about.
We would love to hear from anyone related to any of these lines and hope to gather many family pictures for our album here.

Lon Spears is holding a grandbaby, Charley's daughter. Kerry is the little boy in the others. And there is a big wreck scene with Spears and Hughes documenting the event.
