I grew up with parents who placed a high priority on family. My earliest memories were of my parents visiting their relatives - distant and close - with me in tow. Mom and Dad would gather all the kin around the kitchen table and each would shared their remembrances of long ago, while they passed around pictures and family adornments of those love ones near and far, living and dearly departed.
That was in the 1950's and 1960's. I saw their collection of information grow and even found pride and interest in the Family History they had gathered through the many years. There were still many questions to be asked and many answers to be found.
I went away to college, started my own family and career at a frantic but modern pace. One by one these wonderful old relics of the previous century that I had warm remembrances of as a child began to fade away and my last respects were paid.
Where had all the flowers gone and how so quickly... Thank You Mom and Dad. Now it is time to take this wonderful collection of love, nurture it, make it grow, share it with all of those of you who share the love of Family that we do.
May God continue to Bless this family and may we all continue to be guided by his Light.
