I'm just beginning my Family Tree Adventure and I hope it's gong to be fun and exciting.
On my mother's side I know that my Great Grandfather was Alford Flowers from Tenn., supposedly the son of a wealthy doctor. He married Mary David (?) Hubbard. My grandfather was one of their sons. His name was Roy Taylor Flowers born in 1895(changed his name to Ross T.)and he married a Velmer Catherine King from Oklahoma. They lived most of their lives in Saltillo, Franklin Co. Tx. My mother was born outside of Saltillo in 1931, her name was Gloria Modene Flowers. She married my father, Charles Henry Speaks in 1951.
My grandfather on my dad's side of the family was Henry Knollie Speaks. He married Susie King. I'm just now going through some notes that my Aunt Jewel Flowers Penn wrote down for me so I'll be adding info to my tree...hopefully real fast. Any help you can offer would be wonderful and appreciated.
