Our family research covers the families of Spires and Brightwell from Illinois but the majority of our research has lead us to Tennessee, mainly the central counties of Gibson and Hawkins and some as far as Grainger and Perry. We then go to North Carolinia and Virginia. We have researched these families for a little over a year and sights such as Genealogy.com, Ancestry.com, Genweb, Illinois State Archives, SazzyTazzy, and findagrave have contributed greatly to our ablility to trace our ancestor as far back as the Revoluntionary War. I can not give thanks enough to the Tennesse State Archives for their immeasurable aid in finding my ancestors. I'd all so like to think the countless Cemeteries in Tennesse who maintained their grounds and allowed us to pay our respects and to experience the closeness of our families by having attended the same church or lived in the same town and where buried together.
